unfinished bbq pit

it also needs sand blasting and painting.
This tank had been empty since 1994
"but held a oily LPG fluid" so after removing the fill valve and "plastic" guage,
i filled it with water and flushed it for two days.
and then burned in for 8 hours.

Standard U-Haul tank mount
standard "steel" door hinge)
top of hinge support tack welded to top of tank,
bottom of hinge support welded to the "tank holder"
( do this before you weld the hinge on)
"one" unit. To use I just turn the lock down knob and remove the unit for use.
i have planned on welding a small strip of metal as
a smoke guard on the inside lower tank,
smoke leaks out of the torched two halves of the tank witout it.
, also note that i made a lower grate & pan that holds the coals & makes for easier cleaning.
not shown is a hole i cut in the bottom for the pit to
breath and one in the side of the tank that will have a kind of butter fly flap on it to regulate more or less air.
